Last year we sat down with one of our customers, Steve, to talk about his 2017 Ford F-150 XLT 4×4. We thought it would be a great idea to touch base with him again to see if he is still loving his Ford truck just as much as he did when he first drove off the lot. If you would like to check out Steve’s first interview with us, click here.
OK, it has been just over a year since my first interview on loving my new 2017 F150 XLT 4×4 with the 2.7L Eco-Boost Engine. Honestly, I have to say I love it even more now. Here’s why:
Fuel mileage: This summer, I have been consistently getting around 11.2 litres / 100 km in fuel consumption. As a quick recap, this is less than the 12 litres / 100 km I got when I picked up the truck new and down from 14.3 litres per 100km my previous 2014 F150 XLT 4×4 got with the 3.5 L Ecoboost. Very happy with these results.
Towing: I don’t do much towing, but we now own a mid-sized, pull behind trailer and the truck does a nice job of managing the weight of the trailer even up steep inclines.
Space: With three young kids, with two still in boosters, having space in the truck where all three can fit comfortably with room for backpacks, sports equipment etc…is a nice feature. The F-150 even has room to spare.
If you are shopping for a vehicle and considering a pickup truck, definitely put the F-150 on your list if it isn’t there now. Discovery Ford in Burlington is my dealership of choice.
